The GREATEST way of describing hyperboles!
A hyperbole is a Greek origin word that is an obvious exaggeration adding to a
point to stress how you feel about it, such as "this is
literally the most heaviest thing ever." It is used in most cases used when a
task or object is surprising or unmanageable; for example if you fail to do
something in a certain time you may say something along the lines as "I had no
time at all."

A hyperbole is genurally used to add humor by pointing out the obvious; I found a quote online but I couldn't find who said it: "it's like sarcasm without the need to change your voice."
A Hyperbole can add humor to text; but it should not be used in a more serius text like a report; a much better use would be in something like a story. Dispite the fact that it can work in a story most use will be in actual everyday life rather than text.
I could explain hyperboles forever and give you 10 billion examples but I won't so if you want more information you can go to any of the following sites. http://examples.yourdictionary.com/examples-of-hyperboles.html
